About the event
On September 6th, 2025, 25 swimmers will brave the ocean conditions of the southern Gulf of Maine with an epic swim from the Isle of Shoals to the NH coastline. The swim is a grueling 7 miles and will start on Appledore Island, finishing in Rye. The swim is to benefit and raise awareness for the New England Fishermen's Stewardship Association and our mission.
There will be 8 teams of solo and relay swim teams attempting the crossing. Each team is raising money for NEFSA. Swimming teams will be supported by dedicated boats/captains of the commercial fishing fleet in the Gulf of Maine.
NEFSA is seeking sponsors and donations for the Swim for the Fishermen Fundraiser lobster bake, and volunteer boaters to escort swimmers.
